Information System for Tracking Computing Usage on the Pan Cluster

Knowing how eResearch infrastructure is being used is important for reporting purposes, cost accounting and capacity planning. At the Centre for eResearch, we have developed an Information System designed to capture key parameters of how the New Zealand eScience Infrastructure Pan cluster is being used. This allows an understanding of which software applications are being used by particular users and the computing resources they consume. This presentation will give an overview of that Information System and conclude with some examples for 2013.
