VIVO data ingest: The basics

Coming from a background of knowing very little to nothing about the semantic web, RDF and SPARQL, I have perhaps had a steeper learning curve than most. To help people who would be starting at a very basic level too, I thought I would go over this.

Firstly for your first data entry, I suggest using the example that is given in he ingest guide and doing everything exactly as they say:

Reflections on the VIVO project

Background

VIVO is a semantic web tool that allows interdisciplinary networking. My project aimed to explore the use of VIVO within NeSI as a means to both network researchers together for collaboration and also link them through common use of NeSI and its associated tools and software. This will facilitate increased productivity in all areas of research and in particular the sciences and information technology disciplines.
